MR Licence upgrade
Medium Rigid Vehicle (MR) Licence
Class MR licence vehicles include:
- Trucks and buses with a GVM more than 8 tonnes and two axles
- Medium Rigid (MR) licence is the next stage up from a car licence. The course is conducted in Medium rigid tipper truck.
- LR (Light Rigid class) vehicle
Class MR Licence
To apply for the MR Rigid Licence, you must first:
1. Hold at least one year of a Car (C class) licence
2. Completete the DKT computer test at RMS
Who is this licence for?
The MR Licence is best for those new to industry truck driving or those who wish to upgrade their current licence so they can upgrade their skills and current licence eg. Local transit buses.
Fire trucks
Fork N Trucks Training offers the MR training program through our MR Licence course that can help you pass all the required tests. The course usually takes 5-8 hours
RMS require a minimum of 5 hours assessment time.
This course will include a Final Assessment (FCA).
